8 Best Tips to Boost Your Productivity +

Guys, I am so embarrassed! Did you see that? If you read an email from me with the title ‘?????????,’ congratulations! You just: 1) embarrassed me; 2) gave me a good laugh; and 3) got a glimpse into how I write my posts. πŸ˜‚ If there’s something I need to write, but don’t quite know how to word it yet, I just write a bunch of question marks. πŸ˜… If you read the post, you would have found the unedited me — all the misplaced commas, incorrect spellings, fragment sentences, and a bunch of runoffs too. Anyway…. enough said on my writing tendencies… πŸ˜…

Lately, I have been trying to use my time more effectively. And, in case any of y’all are looking to do the same, I thought I’d share my best tips. I hope they boost your productivity too, so that you can run your race more effectively! ❀️

  • Set Aside All Distractions

Yes, this definitely means lay aside the phone. Better, put it in a different room! πŸ˜‚ Just make sure it’s not a distraction. If you need to do work on it, consider turning off notifications until you’re finished! πŸ™‚

Also, if your room hosts other distractions — whether they are siblings, desks piled with work yet to be done, or anything else — move outside or to a different room. Sometimes a fresh workspace can do wonders! πŸ˜ƒ In fact, I just moved, and now I am way more focused! 😊

  • Keep a Checklist

I find I am WAY more productive when I keep a physical checklist of what I need to accomplish. Although a mental checklist is also helpful, being able to see how productive you were during the day can be insightful in a way that a mental to do list cannot.

A quick, but very important, side note, please make sure to not be so busy you can’t enjoy the little things! Even if you’re work is revolved around others, try to make time to be with others. (And if you’re with them, you’re not thinking about all the things you have yet to do πŸ˜‰) Okay, enough said for a side note that’s longer than the original point. πŸ˜…

  • Stay Off Technology As Much As Possible

This is a great piece advice EXCEPT when you’re reading my blog!! πŸ˜‚ Just kidding. Technology has a way of draining energy and enthusiasm (at least for me). So make sure your time looking at blue light is spent well. This might mean finding a new form of entertainment, but I’ve found it useful in staying focused when I’m trying to accomplish something.

  • Drink Water and Exercise

I have to give credit for this one to my friend, Christina, from Christina Raquel Blog. Although I never thought about it being a way to boost productivity, it totally does! Plus, it’s super good for you! So there, why don’t you go drink some more water???!!! πŸ˜‰

  • Be Cheerful About It

Dragging your feet to the task doesn’t make it go any faster — or smoother. So just be joyful about it! Sometimes that’s easier said than done. It helps if start happy, so do something that makes you feel good. Turn on some music. Time yourself smiling or laughing for twenty seconds. If you’ve become frustrated during it, move on to the next tip and then come back to this one! 😜

  • Take a Break

Believe it or not, taking a short break actually boosts productivity. Don’t make it too long, though. You don’t want to have to take too much time remembering where you left off. πŸ™‚

  • Just Do It!

I realize you’re reading this post for inspiration on how to be more productive. However, when you’re just feeling down and not really wanting to do anything, that’s exactly when you need to do it. Just work up your self control and do it! It doesn’t much simpler or harder than that! πŸ˜‰

  • Pray About It

This is probably the best tip I could give you! When you remember that what you’re doing is for God, then it should be a huge motivation to go do it! So constantly stay in His presence! ❀️

I’ve noticed that these tips work when you’re doing anything. Whether you’re studying your Bible and your mind has gone aloof, working at an office, or even completely your household chores.

Princess, I hope that these tips will enable you to run your race with endurance! As I’ve mentioned, these are things I am trying to work on, so please let me know what your tips are! πŸ™‚
