A Time to Shine

If you haven’t noticed yet, our entire country is in a state of panic. Businesses are temporarily closing. Schools are going online. Even churches aren’t meeting in person. That’s not to mention the lines in front of Walmart. You’d think that Walmart was an amusement park!

With all this and so much more going on around us, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. It’s easy to contract the same spirits of fear, greediness, and selfishness that people are displaying during this trying time. But that’s not what God wants for His princesses. He wants something sooooo much better for us.

He wants to give His princesses peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7)

He gives His daughters hope (Romans 15:13)

He desires that His children have joy (Romans 15:13)

He gives us strength to endure hardships (Isaiah 40:31)

He’s got this under control. He has a plan — a perfect! We don’t have to take part in the fear that is all around us, because our Daddy is bigger and stronger than the coronavirus. We don’t have to panic like everyone else, because we know that God has this under control. We don’t have to be manipulated by what’s happening around us, because “we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God…” as the Apostle Paul wrote.

Princesses, this is our time. It’s time to let the love of God shine through to this dying world. It is time to be a beacon of hope to those around us. It is our time to shine. “…shine so that through us, others may see God.” (As C.S. Lewis put it) May the God of grace and peace allow us to carry this out.

Grace and Peace,

Noelle
